Rules and Regulations

Be nice ... we're a historic landmark

WE WANT YOU TO HAVE A GREAT TIME AT FAIR PARK. PLEASE RESPECT OUR HOME.

Help us keep Fair Park a safe and beautiful place to visit. These rules are always in effect at Fair Park:

SKATEBOARDS, BICYCLES, ROLLER SKATES and ROLLER BLADES
Not allowed inside the gates of Fair Park during the State Fair of Texas. However, all are allowed during the remainder of the year, except on the steps and plazas of our cherished buildings and monuments.

WAGONS and BABY STROLLERS
Allowed at all times to transport small children through Fair Park.

WHEELCHAIRS and MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIRS
These are always welcomed in Fair Park. During the State Fair of Texas, wheelchairs, electric carts and baby strollers are also available for rent on site.

PETS
During the State Fair of Texas, the only pets allowed in Fair Park are service dogs, animals on exhibit, or those used in entertainment.

WEAPONS and OTHER SHARP METAL OBJECTS
Pocket knives, scissors, metal knives, etc. are not allowed inside Fair Park. The State of Texas allows a person holding a valid concealed handgun license to enter Fair Park with a concealed handgun. However, during the State Fair of Texas and some other special events, licenses are examined at the entrance by an authorized security supervisor. In accordance with Texas laws that protect "premises where a high school, collegiate or professional sporting event or interscholastic event is taking place," handguns are never permitted inside the Cotton Bowl Stadium.

FOOD and BEVERAGES
You are always welcome to bring your own food or beverages into Fair Park. Note, however, that some museums and buildings may not allow you to bring food or drink inside their facilities. You can bring coolers or ice chests, and they are subject to search. Alcohol, glass containers, and metal knives and forks are not allowed. Leasing a Fair Park facility for an event? You can contract with one of Fair Park's approved and licensed concessionaires to provide concessions and/or alcoholic beverages for your event.
