Coffee and Politics 101: South Dallas Car Wash - Dale Davenport

Dallas County Judges Brandon Birmingham and Tina Clinton come to discuss the efforts personally and with other judges to push for bail reform. This impacts families and accused trying to bail out to keep jobs and pay for legal defenses. If not able to bail out, defendants have to sit in jail to await trial. This costs the taxpayers $70/day or more for each person sitting awaiting trial. Discussion will focus on Judge Birmingham's proposal sent to Austin to redo our bail system in Texas and work Tina Clinton has performed.
