Coffee and Politics 101: Internet Crimes Against Children

Coffee and Politics 101 returns to the African American Museum Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019 at 10 a.m.

As a parent or caregiver of children, do you know all the things needed to keep children safe while they are online? Many online games allow for chatting with players, but what happens when the chatting continues after the game? Many predators use other online chat services to start grooming their victims.

Tony Newsom of the Dallas Police SOAP Unit (Sex Offender Apprehension Program) comes to Coffee and Politics 101 to discuss how to keep children safe. How to handle the invasion of privacy some teens may feel this is and what to do if you catch inappropriate discussions with your child.

Coffee and Politics 101 reserves the right to refuse live audience members. Candidates running for office please contact the show before attending.
