Over the years Fair Park has hosted a number of popular musical events including concerts in the Cotton Bowl, the Main Stage performances during the State Fair of Texas, and small ensembles during festivals and other events.
Music has been and remains an exciting part of the history of Fair Park.
That is why we are bringing back the Fair Park Summer Music Series in one of the classic locations in the park, the historic Band Shell. This great stage was filmed in one of the scenes in the movie, "State Fair," featuring Ann-Margret.
Recent renovations have enhanced what has always been a favorite entertainment venue among Fair Park visitors.
The Summer Music Series begins May 2nd and continues every succeeding Tuesday through June 27th, nine performances in all. The Series will host a variety of musical talent, both individuals and bands, performing County Music, Urban Latin, American pop, and more.
Visit www.fairpark.org, and www.dallasparks.org, for a list of performers.
The gates open at 6:00 p.m., the show begins at 7:00 p.m. There will be Free Admission and Free Parking to the event. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
We look forward to seeing you at Fair Park at one or all of the Summer Music Series performances!
