What People Say

  • Charles Phoenix

American pop culture humorist, historian and author

"Fair Park is the greatest campus of monumental moderne, streamline moderne, art deco and midcentury modern I've ever seen. Epic massive murals and modernism like no other place in the known universe. Texas, do you know what you have here? Great architecture!"

  • David Bush and Jim Parsons

    Authors, Fair Park Deco

"Fair Park is one of the finest collections of deco architecture in the country, but it is so much more: the embodiment of Texan swagger, it is a testament to the Texanic task of creating a dazzling spectacle in the darkest days of the Depression."

  • Texas State Historical Association

The authority on Texas history since 1897

"Fair Park houses one of the greatest concentrations of early twentieth-century art deco exposition buildings in the United States."

  • American Planning Association

    Great Places in America

"For more than a century the park, two miles east of downtown Dallas, has been delighting millions of visitors. Attractions on its 277 acres include eight museums, six performance facilities, and a major sports stadium."

  • National Geographic Traveler

"Fair Park is much more than an assemblage of buildings; it’s a district telling dozens of stories from dozens of cultures."
